At the Circuit service held on Sunday 1st August we looked at the parable Jesus told about the rich man who had an abundant harvest. (Luke 12) Afterwards we were told about an appeal to support friends in West Africa who have been affected by freak storms.

New Superintendent Minister

Rev. Ann Varker

New Superintendent Minister

In September 2020 we were pleased to welcome our new Superintendent minister, the Revd Ann Varker, along with her husband Julian.

Ann has been a Methodist minister for 22 years, having previously served in appointments in Somerset, Buckinghamshire and, most recently, her home county of Devon. Having candidated for ministry in Kendal she is excited to be returning to the North of England although the Tyneside area is new to her.

Covid-19 Update

As we move out of national Covid-19 restrictions, please contact individual churches to be sure of the most up-to-date information on reopening.  Most are now resuming services and activities within church buildings.

Our Church@Home service continues to be broadcast at 10.30am every Sunday on YouTube, information below.  All are welcome.

Support During Covid Times

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’”
Matthew 22:36-39

Public Notice - Covid 19 - Update 18th March 2020

The Coronavirus is impacting everyone in our communities and it is with sadness that we have had to suspend worship services in our Methodist Churches, this is in line with the Governments most recent guidance.  Our churches will be abiding by this guidance which means that we will not be meeting either for fellowship, worship or business on church premises or in homes.
