Church and Community

The next Circuit Meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 20th June, 7.30pm at Fellside Methodist Church.  The meeting will be focussing on church in the community with an opportunity to hear about some of the community work around the circuit.  All are welcome to come along.

Whitehall Road Methodist Church (Gateshead)

Introduction

Whitehall Road Methodist Church is located in the middle of the Bensham area of Gateshead, close to the town centre. Opened in 1896, we remain a worshipping community where people of all ages feel glad to celebrate God’s goodness together and discover the Good News that Jesus came to bring.

We seek to give God praise and glory, whilst providing an atmosphere of reverence and friendliness, and a place where the wider community can feel accepted as they are, and find welcome, hope and friendship.

Sunniside Methodist Church

Introduction

Sunniside is a small friendly congregation who gather at the Church which is situated in the centre of the village.  We aim to be a witness to God's love in this community.

Worship

Our Sunday morning worship is at 10.15 am each week. This is a traditional service but is relaxed and friendly. All are welcome to join us.

Community and Other Activities

Our premises host the following community activities through the week:

Ryton Methodist Church

Ryton Methodist Church seeks to develop and share in a vibrant Christian ministry offering resources to support family and community development. We aim to reach out to our community by serving others and encouraging all individuals to recognise and use their spiritual gifts.

Greenside Cafe Church

When Greenside Methodist Chapel closed its doors, the church, the worshipping congregation, carried on, with a monthly Cafe Church in the Community Centre.

This informal worship enables all ages to come together and explore the Christian faith, through crafts, discussion, prayer activities, and more, with lots of tea, coffee, juice and biscuits enjoyed for good measure.

On our Facebook page, you can see some of the things we have done.
