Greenside Cafe Church

When Greenside Methodist Chapel closed its doors, the church, the worshipping congregation, carried on, with a monthly Cafe Church in the Community Centre.

This informal worship enables all ages to come together and explore the Christian faith, through crafts, discussion, prayer activities, and more, with lots of tea, coffee, juice and biscuits enjoyed for good measure.

On our Facebook page, you can see some of the things we have done.

The Friday coffee morning also continues at the Community Centre, ever Friday with a five minute slot called NE40 news.

The rest of the month, some church folks attend other churches, Centenary Methodist, Crawcrook, Ryton Methodist Church and St John's Greenside, where you will be most welcome.  We also meet for prayer, and hopefully in time we will set up a study group, as well as exploring other ways to be a "church" worshipping congregation in new different ways.

Want to find out more? Check out our Facebook site, or why not come along to our next Cafe Church, or look out for our Messy Church events, also at the community centre.

November 2020 - there will be a service on the 8th of the month.
