Craftivism: the art of gentle protest

10th December 7:30pm - 9pm

On Zoom

Join Common Threads, a group that used to meet at the Ark, as we craft to create a better world. Craftivism is about finding a gentle and beautiful way to act for justice. Would you like to join us?

This December we’ll be meeting on Zoom and doing some very simple craft to join in the campaign for a real living wage for care workers. We’ll be doing this by discussing and signing Citizen UK’s petition and creating hearts to give to care workers in a local care home.

Anyone is welcome - especially if you are new to crafting, activism, or both!

Register your interest by emailing Lucy on lucy@swtyneside.org.uk. You’ll then be sent the Zoom link in advance along with a list of materials needed to join in with the crafting. These will be really simple materials you'll probably have lying around, but if you have any problem getting your hands on them we can always arrange to drop them off for you.

Hope to see you there
